Sonata for Miriam (aka The Consequence of Silence) was published by Bonniers Förlag AB, Sweden, in June, by Archipel, Holland in September and by Penguin NZ and Penguin Australia in October 2008.

With the Swedish edition, there is an accompanying music cd with a compilation of the music that features in the book, including a short excerpt from the adagio from Sonata for Miriam composed by Alexander Ekroth-Baginski.
