Wet Thursday

The view from my study today is like looking at the world from a fish tank – or perhaps it’s the other way around. Good weather for indoor activities. Like writing. Agh. (more…)

I am reading Death in Danzig by Stefan Chwin and I am now about halfway through. It is a strange and rather wonderful book. (more…)

Brain and body

Friday, March 23rd, 2007

What if there will never be another novel? My sense of acute stress is totally self imposed – nobody seems to have any particular expectations. But here I sit bleary-eyed in front of my (new and rather wonderful) laptop, staring into a static half finished manuscript. Day in, day out. (more…)

So, here we go. Another medium, a new perspective. Welcome to this journey towards the unknown. I hope to make frequent, if not daily notes here. In between associating with the beast that is my second novel. It hovers over and beyond everything I do at the moment. The dreaded second novel. The one that determines what you are. A writer. Or someone who managed to put that one novel of her life into words. The working title is ‘The consequence of silence’ – which may also refer to what I will have to do…
